Before joining CNBC, he worked as a producer for Bloomberg TV in New York and as an anchor and reporter for CNBC's affiliate CNBC-TV18 in India. As the Digital Security & Operations Manager at The Media Trust, Mike leads malware investigations affecting the digital properties of media, retail, travel and automotive enterprise clients. In this role, he helps clients with limited technical background understand how malware infects their websites and mobile apps, corresponding impact to user experience, regulatory requirements and industry standards, and strategies to remediate and prevent. Mike’s insight into the complexity of securing the digital environment have been solicited by several industry publications including InfoSecurity Magazine, SC Magazine, Search Security, ZDNet and more. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from James Madison University.
Trei Brundrett is the chief operating officer and co-founder of Vox Media, overseeing the highest priority cross-company initiatives and leading the Design, Technology, Product, Partnerships and Video Operation groups. He leads the group responsible for developing Chorus, Vox Media’s platform purpose-built to launch premium digital media brands and deliver content and community for a global audience of over 150 million. Trei has been instrumental in growing Vox Media from a collection of sports blogs to a ground-breaking media organization with leading brands in eight categories: SB Nation, The Verge, Polygon, Eater, Racked, Curbed, Recode and Vox.
Previously, as the co-founder of the boutique digital strategy firm Handwire Trei led large scale internet strategy, advertising and development projects for Fortune 500 companies, national non-profits and media clients. Trei also led the digital technology and strategy efforts for Senator Mark Warner’s 2008 presidential bid and currently sits on the board of directors for The Texas Tribune.
Till Daldrup is the Training & Outreach Programming Coordinator at the Wall Street Journal and responsible for all internal newsroom training. Before that, he was a fellow on the Journal’s R&D team, where he researched ways to analyze algorithms and their social impact and wrote a reporter handbook about deepfake detection.
Till is a graduate of New York University's Studio 20, a Master’s program focusing on innovation in journalism. Before moving to the U.S. in 2017, he was a freelance business journalist in Germany for newspapers and magazines, such as Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Stern.

John C. Havens is Executive Director of The IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems that has two primary outputs – the creation and iteration of a body of work known as Ethically Aligned Design: A Vision for Prioritizing Human Well-being with Autonomous and Intelligent Systems and the recommendation of ideas for Standards Projects focused on prioritizing ethical considerations in A/IS. Currently there are fourteen approved Standards Working Groups in the IEEE P7000™ series.
John is also the Executive Director of The Council on Extended Intelligence (CXI), a program created by The IEEE Standards Association and The MIT Media lab to proliferate the ideals of responsible participant design, data agency and metrics of economic prosperity prioritizing people and the planet over profit and productivity.
Previously, John was an EVP of Social Media at PR Firm, Porter Novelli and a professional actor for over 15 years. Jan Neumann leads the Comcast Applied Artificial Intelligence Research group with team members in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Denver and Silicon Valley. His team combines large-scale machine learning, deep learning, NLP and computer vision to develop novel algorithms and product concepts that improve the experience of Comcast's customers such as the X1 voice remote and personalization features, virtual assistants and predictive intelligence for customer service, as well as smart video and sensor analytics. Before he joined Comcast in 2009, he worked for Siemens Corporate Research on various computer vision related projects such as driver assistance systems and video surveillance. He has published over 20 papers in scientific conferences and journals, and is a frequent speaker on machine learning and data science. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park.

He has more than 15 years of experience leading high tech and ad technology start-ups and managing international software development, product and sales teams. Prior to The Media Trust, Olson created an Internet-based transaction system to research, buy and sell media for TV, radio, cable, and online channels. He started his career managing equity and fixed income electronic trading desks for Salomon Brothers, Citibank and Commerzbank AG. Olson currently serves on the board of the Interactive Advertising Bureau's Advertising Technology Council. He regularly speaks about cybersecurity trends and best practices at industry events, including events hosted by the Financial, Media, and Retail & Commercial ISACs. He earned his B.S. degree in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University and Executive MBA in Finance and Information Systems from the NYU Stern School of Business.
Michael Spann is the Senior Support Engineer for Display Advertising at Microsoft (MSN). In 12 years at Microsoft, he has worked to provide technical advertising solutions across MSN, Outlook, Xbox, Skype, and Windows Apps. He is responsible for creative policy management and enforcement, new ad product implementations and process management. Michael is also an IAB Digital Ad Operations certified professional.
Jeff Turner is the Head of The Washington Post's RED team, an in-house advertising Research, Experimentation and Development team laser-focused on building the most innovating web and mobile advertising in digital publishing. Prior to joining The Post, Turner served in several leadership positions at Aol/Oath, including The Head of Ad Product and Monetization for HuffPost, and most recently Senior Director of Product at Oath responsible for advertising innovation. Turner lives in Arlington, VA with his wife Lauren and their blind cocker spaniel named Moose. In his spare time Turner rock climbs, snowboards, sails, and occasionally crashes his electric skateboard.
