Erika Allen is the head of audience strategy and growth at The Washington Post, overseeing several teams including emerging news products, strategic initiatives, talent strategy, subscriber engagement, newsletters and news analytics. She also works closely with The Post’s Next Generation audience team. Before joining The Post, she worked as senior director of global news operations for Vice World News, executive managing editor of global news, as well as Vice’s executive managing editor of digital. Before her time at Vice, Allen worked at New York Magazine’s The Cut as senior editor of culture, executive editor of The Outline, and as an editor of Times Insider at the New York Times. She also taught a journalism and design course at her alma mater, Eugene Lang College at the New School in New York City.
