Alex Michael
Managing Director, LionTree
Alex Michael is a Managing Director at LionTree, a global investment and merchant bank with a decade-long track record backed by deep expertise and relationships in media, technology, communications, and consumer industries. At LionTree, Alex works across the Firm’s advisory and investment businesses, also serving as Co-head of LionTree Growth which focuses on strategic and financial advisory for emerging companies and industries across the digital economy, with particular emphasis on sports, audio, and digital media. Alex serves as a member of the board of Transmit.Live (a LionTree portfolio company), Authentic Restaurant Brands, and Belzberg & Co. He is also Chief Development Officer of Infinite Acquisition Corp., LionTree’s co-sponsored public acquisition vehicle with Kevin Durant, Rich Kleiman and Thirty Five Ventures.

Prior to joining LionTree in 2015, Alex led National Sales for LivingSocial, the Amazon and venture backed social e-commerce company sold to Groupon. Before joining LivingSocial, Alex served as Vice President of Business Development at MSG Sports, a division of publicly held Madison Square Garden Company, where he led the group responsible for evaluating and acquiring new events and franchises for the Sports segment, home to the NY Knicks and NY Rangers. Prior to MSG, he was Director of Business Development for Ticketmaster (now part of Live Nation), handling new business and partnership opportunities as well as executing M&A transactions.

Alex earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School and is a graduate of Brown University.
