Almar Latour is the global leader of the world’s foremost business media and financial information brands. As CEO, Almar has led Dow Jones through a period of sharp growth, transformation and realignment, accelerating the company’s consumer subscription revenues, and growing its business-to-business portfolio with the acquisitions of OPIS, Investors’ Business Daily, Chemical Market Analytics and assets from the Singapore Solar Exchange. Almar first joined Dow Jones as a News Assistant and rose through the ranks, serving as a reporter covering technology and telecommunications; as a foreign correspondent; Managing Editor of The Wall Street Journal; Editor in Chief of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires in Asia; Executive Editor of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones worldwide; and Publisher of Barron’s Group and Executive Vice President of Dow Jones. He led the expansion of Barron’s Group business and luxury brands; oversaw two major redesigns of The Wall Street Journal’s website; introduced numerous successful international and U.S. blogs; grew Dow Jones’ digital footprint to include Japan, Korea and Indonesia; revamped The Chinese Wall Street Journal; and launched The Wall Street Journal in Japan. He is a native of the Netherlands and lives in New York City with his family.
