Larry Madowo is a North America Correspondent for the BBC based in Washington, DC. He was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2020 and has twice been ranked among the Most Influential Africans by NewAfrican Magazine. He is an international correspondent, broadcaster and writer whose career has included stints in New York, Nairobi, London and Johannesburg. He was a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Business and Economics Journalism at Columbia University where he earned a master's degree. The Kenyan journalist has reported from around the world and is a digital pioneer with over 4 million followers on social media.
