Jarrod Dicker is an entrepreneurial media and technology executive. He is currently VP of Commercial at the Washington Post focusing on emerging technologies at the intersection of engineering and revenue to develop innovative solutions across advertising, subscriptions and technology. Dicker is also the founder of R.E.D., the Post’s research experimentation and development lab and Zeus, The Post’s advertising software-as-a-service arm.

As The Post’s chief innovator, he oversees the company's commercial efforts across technology, product, operations, and strategy disciplines both on and off The Washington Post. His mandate is to lead a charge that transforms the media industry by instituting a build first mentality when it comes to the products that help fuel and better the economy of media. In 2019, The Post announced its investment in Zeus, a new division within the organization focused on building and licensing products to publishers, brands and creators to build a new ecosystem for advertising and membership. Since then, over 50 publishers have signed on to Zeus including The Dallas Morning News, The Seattle Times and all McClatchy brands to power their revenue technology.

Prior to The Washington Post, Dicker served as the founding CEO of Po.et, a decentralized platform for content discovery, ownership and monetization. There he pioneered the foundation for how media builds on blockchain through products, protocols and strategies focused on provenance, reputation and intellectual property. Before joining Po.et, Dicker was the head of innovation at The Washington Post where he founded The Post’s research and development lab, R.E.D.

Dicker has lead strategy, product and technology teams at RebelMouse, Time Inc. and the Huffington Post. He also sits on the Board of Advisors for Rutgers University School of Innovation, is an active mentor in the Techstars community sits on the Board of Advisors of Mogul Inc., a technology platform that enables women worldwide to share ideas and access content based on personal interests. He is also an active volunteer at local animal shelters.
