Alex Harman is the competition policy advocate for Public Citizen’s Congress Watch division, where he works to address concentration and market power in key sectors of our economy, especially in online commerce and communications in order to provide stronger antitrust protections for consumers and workers. Prior to coming to Public Citizen, Alex served as chief counsel to U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, as well as other senior political and policy roles in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and in the Obama administration. He holds a master’s degree in legislative affairs from George Washington University and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
