Speaker Bio
Cristiana Firullo is a PhD candidate in Information Science at Cornell University and an IvyPlus Scholar at the Economics Department at Stanford University. Her research examines how AI-powered intermediaries — including large language models and algorithmic recommenders — reshape consumer search behavior, attention, and welfare in digital markets. Through her research, Cristiana aims to shed light on whether digital environments allow for the discovery of decision-making processes with the ultimate goal of improving antitrust and consumer protection policies. Prior to her PhD, she worked as an economic consultant in Oxford and London (UK), advising on antitrust and litigation matters. She holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from Bocconi University, where she specialized in Industrial Organization and Behavioral Economics.
