Anna Magliocco is head of digital growth and operations for NBC News Digital. In this role she leads business operations, overseeing monetization, audience development, analytics and growth for NBC News' digital properties.
Prior to this role, Anna was VP of strategy and business development for NBC News Group, where she helped to grow audiences and revenue for NBC News, MSNBC and TODAY across all platforms and via new strategies, partnerships and new businesses. Anna helped launch the popular ecommerce and lifestyle verticals for TODAY, led distribution and partnerships with social platforms, and was a key member in launching several new digital products, including the OTT streaming network NBC News NOW.
Prior to NBC, Anna was a media investment banker where she was a sector head, advising CEOs and executive teams across a broad range of media companies and sectors, including $70B of closed transactions. Anna started her career managing a team of 30 in sales operations.
Anna and Claudio will describe how the audience department is structured at The New York Times and how they work with the newsroom. They'll also talk about what tools they use to make data-driven decisions about coverage and their four key desk goals to achieve audience growth.
