Tiffany Chow
SVP, Strategy & Business Development
NBCU News Group
Tiffany Sam Chow is currently Senior Vice President, Strategy & Business Development for NBCU News Group (NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, TODAY, and Telemundo). In this role, Chow supports the multi-platform news portfolio as the company continues to lean into areas that strengthen its brands and diversify its revenue streams. Specifically, Tiffany leads the execution of News Group’s “non-TV” expansion – pushing further into streaming, subscription business models, and commerce growth initiatives. She manages strategic business partnerships for the portfolio and leads the identification of global investment opportunities for inorganic growth prospects.
Tiffany has been with NBCUniversal for almost 10 years, previously serving as head of Strategy & Business Development for CNBC. While at CNBC, Tiffany launched CNBC Select, the brand’s financial commerce site, oversaw key partnerships across all digital and audio platforms, and supported CNBC’s brand partnership with Acorns after leading an equity investment in the personal finance app.
Prior to CNBC, Tiffany held several positions within NBCUniversal based in London. As head of International Business Development, Tiffany led business planning initiatives for investments in several local OTT platforms and digital media assets. Tiffany also spearheaded the launch of HeyDay Television, the UK-based production label in partnership with David Heyman, notable producer of Gravity and the Harry Potter films.
Before joining NBCUniversal, Tiffany worked at both Discovery Communications and Time Warner in their respective mergers & acquisitions teams based in New York (now a combined Warner Bros Discovery company). Tiffany began her career at Morgan Stanley as an investment banking professional, also based in New York.
Tiffany is currently on the board for Step Up Women’s Network, a non-profit organization providing mentorship and skill development for girls in high school and college in communities around the US. This role allows her to practice inclusive management, governance over diverse constituents, fundraising for key initiatives, and community work.
In her free time these days, Tiffany paints (oil is preferred, but watercolor has become an experimental area of interest) and consumes much television and film content (aka can be a couch potato when not exercising, socializing, or working).
Tiffany graduated from UC Berkeley, with a BS in Business Administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business and a BA in Legal Studies from the College of Letters & Sciences. She also holds an MBA from London Business School.
