Matthew Ball is the CEO of Epyllion, which provides investment and strategic advisory services, produces television, films, and video games, and co-operates/owns the Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF on the New York Stock Exchange, which was the single largest sector ETF launch of 2021, among various other operating subsidiaries.
Ball is also a Venture Partner at Makers Fund, Senior Advisor to KKR, and sits on the board of numerous start-ups. His first book, “The Metaverse”, was published in July 2022 and became an instant international best-seller in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and China, and won book of the year awards including those of The Guardian, Politico, and The Economist’s Global Business Review. Ball was previously a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Company, Head of Strategy for Amazon Studios, and an executive at The Chernin Group’s Otter Media and at Accenture. In the 2000s, he was a full-time wildfire fighter in Canada.
