Speaker Bio
Rangan Anandan is the VP of Strategy for the newly formed Global Digital News & Streaming organization within BBC Studios (the commercial arm of the BBC). In his role, he is responsible for helping develop and execute a growth strategy for the BBC's global (ex-UK) digital & direct-to-consumer businesses including BBC.com, the BBC News & Sport apps, BBC Select (the BBC's premium documentary subscription streaming service) and BBC Podcasts.

His entire career thus far has been within the beating heart of digital and direct-to-consumer transformation journeys at major legacy media organizations - prior to the BBC, he spent almost a decade at CBS Interactive (and ViacomCBS/Paramount after the Viacom merger) in various strategic and operating roles supporting the organization’s most critical digital and streaming businesses (in particular flagship SVOD services CBS All Access and Paramount+). As a result, he has built a deep understanding of the digital business models shaping the rapidly evolving media landscape and a strong track record of helping leaders in matrixed media organizations develop, communicate and execute innovative strategies that drive financial, operational and creative success in the digital and direct-to-consumer space.

Rangan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Entertainment Business & Digital Media from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. He lives in the New York City area with his wife and in his spare time, he is also a journeyman stand-up comedian who performs with his identical twin brother.
